The coach departs from Uzhhorod in the morning, the border is crossed in an organised manner (the guide handles the documents and insurance), and by the evening you are already home. It is the shortest route from Ukraine to the salt lakes of Solotvyno or to the Salina Turda salt mine.
Day trips to Romania feature Solotvyno with its natural salt lakes, where the water is so mineralised that you can stay afloat effortlessly (a popular format for a wellness day); Salina Turda, one of the largest and most beautiful salt mines in Europe, transformed into an underground amusement park with a Ferris wheel and an underground lake; as well as a sightseeing excursion across Romanian Maramureș with stops in picturesque Hutsul and Romanian villages.
Each day trip to Romania has a fixed price per person that already includes transport, a guide's accompaniment and insurance (the list of what is included in the price is on each excursion's page). Children and concession categories travel at a discount. The number of seats on the coach is limited, so it is worth booking a date in advance - especially in the high season of the salt lakes (summer).
