Transcarpathia is a region where you do not have to go looking for an active holiday: the mountains, mountain rivers and high meadows begin an hour's drive from Uzhhorod. This page brings together the activities we run every season - jeep tours in the Carpathians, rafting, horse riding, the ascent of Hoverla, quad biking and paragliding.
The most popular format is the day trip. In a single day a group can climb to a mountain meadow by off-roader, have lunch in the open air and be back by evening - convenient if you are already staying in Transcarpathia and want to add one intense day to your plans. Multi-day active tours suit those who come for the mountains themselves: they combine transfers, nights in the highlands and two or three activities in a row.
Rafting on the Tysa and the Cheremosh is a story of its own. In spring and early summer the rivers run high and the descent is at its most vivid; in summer the routes are calmer and work well for families with children. An instructor is always on the water with the group, and life jackets and paddles are included, so no previous experience is needed.
The ascent of Hoverla remains the headline item for anyone visiting the Carpathians properly for the first time. The route is non-technical and takes a day, but it does require decent footwear and readiness for changeable weather - in the mountains it can turn within half an hour. That is why we go up in guided groups and always keep a fallback plan for bad weather.
Active holidays in Transcarpathia pair naturally with recovery: after a day in the mountains it makes sense to finish at the thermal baths of Berehove or Kosyno. Many of our guests plan their trip exactly this way - activity during the day, thermal water in the evening.
We are a licensed tour operator based in Uzhhorod, working since 2008. Departures run from Uzhhorod and Mukachevo, and pick-up in other towns of Transcarpathia can be arranged. If you cannot find the format or the date you need, leave a request and we will build a programme for your group - from a family outing to a corporate trip.
