Two or three days. The two-day tours are Košice with Tatranská Lomnica, Spiš in a weekend and thermal Slovakia: one full day on site plus an overnight stay. The three-day one is Bratislava with Vienna, which has two nights. The overnight stay is always a 3-4* hotel with breakfast, and that cost is already included in the tour price.
Travelling abroad requires a biometric foreign passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the return date. A child must have their own foreign passport. A domestic passport or ID card is not sufficient to cross the border.
About 3 hours to Košice, including the border. It is the shortest European leg of all our destinations: the crossing into Slovakia lies immediately beyond Uzhhorod. From Lviv to Košice it is about 7 hours 30 minutes, and from Kyiv about 15 hours 30 minutes, which is why this destination is best started from Zakarpattia. Travel time depends on the queue at the border, so the tour schedule is approximate.
On the Slovak tours, no. There is a single pick-up: Uzhhorod, Koriatovych Square. The routes head north through the Uzhhorod crossing, and calling at Mukachevo would add distance rather than save it. If you are coming from Mukachevo it is easier to reach Uzhhorod on your own - the manager will tell you what time to be there.
Departure from Uzhhorod is in the morning; the manager confirms the exact time along with the date. Early - so as to cross the border while traffic is lighter and gain a full day on site instead of half of one. On the Slovak route this is especially noticeable: Košice is three hours away, so the group is in the city from the morning.
No. Departure from Uzhhorod is in the morning, transfers happen during the day, and the nights are spent in a hotel with breakfast. This is the main difference between these tours and cheaper coach programmes: you do not spend a night sitting in a seat, and you do not lose the first day of the tour catching up on sleep.
On the Košice and Tatranská Lomnica tour the second day belongs to the mountains: Poprad, Štrbské Pleso - a glacial lake at over a thousand metres - and Tatranská Lomnica with its cable car. It is a sightseeing format rather than hiking: the walks are easy and no special equipment is needed.
From October to March. Hot open-air pools make the most sense in winter, so this route is a winter format. In summer its place in the range is taken by Spiš in a weekend and Košice with the Tatras. Entry to the thermal complexes is not included in the tour price; an estimated budget is given on the tour page.
We confirm departures in advance. If a departure does not go ahead, we offer the nearest date or refund the deposit in full. Where dates are not yet in the table, the manager names the nearest possible departures in reply to your enquiry.
Multi-day tours start from UAH 7,200 per person. That already includes transport along the whole route, a Pro Karpaty group leader, a 3-4* hotel with breakfast and €30,000 medical insurance. Entrance fees, optional extras and meals are paid separately - an estimated budget is given on each tour page so the full sum can be worked out in advance. One-day tours to Slovakia start from UAH 2,500.
The destination works all year round, but the seasons differ. Košice with the Tatras and Bratislava with Vienna run continuously. Spiš in a weekend runs from April to October, while the castle ruins and mountain roads are open. Thermal Slovakia is the opposite - October to March. The best time for the High Tatras is September and early October: visibility is at its best and there are already fewer visitors than in summer.
Košice with Tatranská Lomnica and Bratislava with Vienna run all year round. Spiš in a weekend runs from April to October, while the castle complexes and mountain roads are open. Thermal Slovakia is a winter format, from October to March.
You need a biometric foreign passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the return date; a child must have their own. The EES system has been in operation since 10 April 2026: fingerprints and a photograph are taken at the border. ETIAS is not yet running; launch is expected in Q4 2026. Tours to Slovakia from Zakarpattia are 1-3 day itineraries that begin early in the morning in Uzhhorod and end there too. The crossing into Slovakia lies immediately beyond the city, which is why bus tours to Slovakia are best started here: Košice is about 3 hours away, and the group is in the city centre from the morning of day one. From central Ukraine the same destination costs an extra day just to reach the border.

The shortest leg into Europe. Slovakia is the EU country closest to Uzhhorod, and that changes the very design of the tour. Where on more distant routes the first day is eaten up by driving, here the coach reaches Košice in the morning: St Elisabeth Cathedral, Hlavná street, the clock tower - and a full day is left for the rest of the programme. That is why a two-day format on this route delivers as much as a three-day one elsewhere.
If you only have one day. One-day tours to Slovakia leave Uzhhorod and return the same evening: Košice, Štrbské Pleso in the High Tatras, the Belianska Cave with Levoča and Spiš Castle, and the Bachledka mountain park with its treetop walkway. Prices start from UAH 2,500 per person - the most affordable way into our European range, alongside the Hungarian routes.
No overnight drives. Every night is spent in a 3-4* hotel with breakfast, and transfers happen during the day. You do not spend a night sitting in a coach seat, and you do not lose the first day of the tour catching up on sleep. If you simply want to rest in hot water - thermal Slovakia, from October to March.
Booking and cancellation. You send an enquiry from the tour page, the manager confirms the date, and the manager tells you the prepayment; the balance is due before departure. Cancellation terms follow the Booking Rules: more than 2 days before the start, 10% of the price is retained; less than 2 days, 50%.
