Tour programme
Departure from Uzhhorod at 07:30 - the shortest thermal leg from Zakarpattia: we reach the water sooner than the Hungarian baths.
The specific venue (AquaCity Poprad or Bešeňová) is fixed as the group is formed, according to the partner's terms, and you know it before you pay.
Both complexes run on their own geothermal water, with pool temperatures of roughly 28-38 °C, and both have indoor and outdoor sections, so bathing in the open air in winter is entirely possible.
The group has thermal pools, slides, hydromassage areas, a sauna world and a panorama of the Tatras straight from the water.
The entrance ticket and the sauna world are optional and paid separately; the group leader helps with the ticket desk, the lockers and the timing.
Lunch is either at the complex restaurant or brought with you.
You stay in the water as long as you like, right through to the evening.
Check-in at a 3* hotel with breakfast next to the water park; the evening is free.
Breakfast, and after it a second thermal session: you are back in the pools until roughly lunchtime, this time without the first-day queues and knowing where the warmest water is.
This is the part people buy the route for: a day trip gives you a few hours of bathing, here it adds up to a day and a half.
Anyone who has had enough of the water spends the morning in the relaxation area or in a café looking out at the High Tatras.
After lunch we set off homewards, stopping on the way in Levoča, a medieval town on the UNESCO list.
A walk around the main square: St James's Church with the tallest Gothic wooden altar in the world, the town hall, the cage of shame, the town walls and the burgher houses around the square.
Entry to the church is optional and paid separately.
There is still time for coffee and last purchases before the road.
Then the border crossing and the return to Uzhhorod at around 19:00.

Frequently asked questions
Travelling abroad requires a foreign passport - biometric, or with a valid visa. A domestic passport or a driving licence is not accepted at the border. Children must have their own foreign passports. Queues at the border are possible and travel time depends on them, so the schedule is approximate.
Season: peak October to March. The departure date is on request: we set it around group formation, which is why specific days are not published on this page. Send an enquiry and the manager will name the nearest possible dates.
The estimated ticket budget is about UAH 2,100 (to be confirmed). Entrance fees, optional extras, lunches and dinners are not included in the tour price and are paid separately on site - this keeps the price fair for those who skip some of the sights.
