Hike to the Voievodyn Waterfall

The Voievodyn Waterfall - a true wonder of nature. The melodic murmur of the water and the flow of the current magically draw the human eye. With every minute spent beside the waterfall, the soul fills with harmony and calm. It feels as if you could gaze at the flowing water forever. The Carpathian waterfalls are very picturesque, their sight takes your breath away. Yet there are some that nature itself has carefully hidden from human eyes. The path to such a waterfall is not always easy, but it is worth it, because such places are a source of strength and energy. If you are strong in spirit, not lazy, if you value life and believe in the magical power of the Carpathian mountains, allow yourself this adventure - a hike to the waterfalls!

Excursion programme:

- 09:00 - Departure from Uzhhorod
- Transfer to the village of Turia Poliana.
- Mini hydroelectric power stations on a mountain river.
- A hike to the Voievodyn Waterfall - over the day you will cover about 8 km! The route runs along a mountain river with picturesque rocky banks.
- Stop and listen to what might be a whisper, a howl or the song of the waterfall. Your tiredness will instantly vanish; better than any doctor, a mountain waterfall cures your worries and washes all the negativity from your soul.
- After a snack, regaining our strength and taking unique photos to remember it by, we head back.
-If you are lucky, you will see a roe deer timidly running past, and perhaps even the feeding of young and grown deer. The most curious will see yet another waterfall, a little smaller but even more beautiful than Voievodyn!
- A hike to the waterfalls will appeal to lovers of wild nature. After all, here you will find simply incredible landscapes, fresh, clean and heady air, untouched emerald forests, and - no crowds of tourists. Broken old branches and stumps are forever wedged among the stones, through which streams of water break. The route is not difficult at all, and anyone who wishes can manage it, even without special skills or physical training. Children will especially enjoy this one-day hike. The road to the waterfall is very picturesque, and near Voievodyn itself there are spots where you can have a picnic.
- Return to Uzhhorod at about 19:00.

The hike to the Voievodyn Waterfall runs every second Saturday of the month.

What to bring on the hike:
- comfortable footwear (for example: trekking sandals, trainers, boots);
- a hat
- a raincoat (in case of rain, the weather in the mountains is changeable);
- sandwiches (lunch by the waterfall);
- water (you can take an empty bottle and fill it from a spring along the way);
- a great mood and a good camera! - a must !!!
