• The main landmarks of Košice are on Hlavná ulica. This - the main street of the historic centre of Košice is paved with cobblestones, with a stream running along it, old buildings, lovely fountains and cosy squares. It is a street with a huge number of cafés and restaurants where, in the warm season, you can sit at a table right on the street to enjoy its beauty.
• During the one-day tour to Košice, strolling along the old central streets of the city, you will see a masterpiece of Gothic architecture - St Elisabeth’s Cathedral. No wonder this building took two centuries to construct! Inside you can admire the frescoes and sculptures. The artistic painting will delight you in the city theatre too, where the ceiling is decorated with scenes from the works of Shakespeare. But, despite the fantastic beauty of the churches and the bell tower of St Urban, it is the charming parks with fountains that create the atmosphere of a constant celebration in Košice. Most amazing of all is the singing fountain in the very centre of Košice, unique in all of Europe.
• Next, shopping awaits you in the huge “Optima” shopping complex or in the little shops housed in the old buildings of the historic pedestrian part of the city.
