Tour programme
- The early 05:00 departure from Uzhhorod is a deliberate part of the design: we cover the 450 or so kilometres of Slovak motorway in the morning so that the first evening belongs to Bratislava rather than to the coach.
- On the way there are comfort stops and coffee, and the group leader runs through the three-day programme and the logistics.
- In the afternoon we check into a 3* hotel with breakfast - the same one for both nights, so nothing needs repacking.
- Then a guided walk through the old town: St Michael's Gate, the Main Square with the town hall, the Primate's Palace and St Martin's Cathedral, where the Hungarian kings were crowned.
- The city is small and walkable, all of it within a few blocks.
- We climb up to Bratislava Castle for the panorama over the Danube and the Austrian bank; entry to the museum inside the castle is optional and paid separately.
- The evening is free: the wine bars of the old town, the embankment, the cafés on Hviezdoslav Square.
- Breakfast, then the drive to Vienna - an hour on the road and you are in a city that has been ranked among the world's most liveable for decades.
- The tour begins on the Ring: the Opera, the Burgtheater, parliament, the city hall, the MuseumsQuartier and the Kunsthistorisches Museum, all lined up along the boulevard that replaced the city walls.
- Then the walking section: the Hofburg with the Habsburgs' winter residence, Maria-Theresien-Platz, the Graben with its plague column, and St Stephen's Cathedral, Austria's principal Gothic church.
- In the afternoon, Schönbrunn: the gardens and the Gloriette are open to walk through, while entry to the palace with the apartments of Franz Joseph and Sisi is optional and paid separately.
- You spend the free time as you wish: a café with a slice of Sachertorte, the Naschmarkt, or the Prater with its Ferris wheel.
- In the evening we return to the hotel in Bratislava.
- This is the central day of the route - every hour of daylight is given to Vienna.
- Breakfast, check-out and a short drive west of Bratislava to Devín.
- The castle stands on a crag exactly where the Morava flows into the Danube, and it is one of the oldest fortresses in the region: a Slavic hillfort, a Great Moravian centre, later a Hungarian border stronghold, blown up by Napoleon's troops.
- The ruins are explored across the upper and lower courtyards; from the bastion you can see three countries at once, and below stands the Maiden Tower on its own rock.
- The entrance ticket is optional and paid separately; there is a museum of archaeological finds next to the site.
- The Iron Curtain ran right here - a memorial on the site of the former border zone is a reminder of it.
- Walking around Devín takes about two hours and needs no particular fitness, though the paths are stony in places, so comfortable shoes help.
- After the visit and lunch we head back along the same Slovak corridor, with rest stops and roadside cafés.
- Return to Uzhhorod at around 20:00.

Your place in the group is secured only after the manager confirms it. The prepayment depends on the product and we tell you the amount before we confirm your booking. After that we send you the itinerary, the departure time and the meeting point.
Cancellation by you.
Cancellation:
- more than 2 calendar days before the tour starts - we retain 10 % of the price;
- less than 2 calendar days - 50 %;
- no-show without notice - 100 %.

If we cancel the tour.
We offer another date, another route or an equivalent replacement - or we refund the amount you paid.
Participation terms.
Children under 14 travel only when accompanied by an adult. The number of places is limited by the size of the group.
Changes to the itinerary.
The organiser may make minor changes to the itinerary because of road, weather, technical or other circumstances.
Frequently asked questions
Travelling abroad requires a foreign passport - biometric, or with a valid visa. A domestic passport or a driving licence is not accepted at the border. Children must have their own foreign passports. Queues at the border are possible and travel time depends on them, so the schedule is approximate.
Season: all year round. The departure date is on request: we set it around group formation, which is why specific days are not published on this page. Send an enquiry and the manager will name the nearest possible dates.
The estimated ticket budget is about UAH 2,800 (to be confirmed). Entrance fees, optional extras, lunches and dinners are not included in the tour price and are paid separately on site - this keeps the price fair for those who skip some of the sights.
