Tour programme
- Departure from Uzhhorod at 07:00, the border crossing - and then the road along the Hornád towards Spiš.
- The first stop of the day is visible from many kilometres away: Spiš Castle on its limestone crag, one of the largest castle complexes in Central Europe and a UNESCO site.
- The climb up to the gate takes about twenty minutes; beyond it are the courtyards, the Romanesque tower, the chapel, the museum of torture instruments and a viewing terrace that takes in the whole Spiš basin as far as the Tatras.
- The entrance ticket is optional and paid separately.
- In the afternoon we transfer to Levoča, a medieval town still ringed by its walls.
- The main sight here is St James's Church with the tallest Gothic wooden altar in the world, carved by Master Pavol of Levoča, along with the town hall, the cage of shame on the square and rows of burgher houses.
- Free time for coffee and a walk along the town walls.
- In the evening we check into a 3* hotel with breakfast in Poprad or Kežmarok.
- Breakfast, then departure for the foot of the Belianske Tatras.
- The Belianska Cave is the only cave in this massif open to visitors: some eight hundred metres of prepared route, stalactites, flowstone cascades, an underground waterfall and the Music Hall, where guides demonstrate the acoustics.
- The temperature inside stays at 5-6 °C all year round, so bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes.
- The path from the car park to the entrance is a stair climb of roughly twenty minutes.
- The cave runs on a seasonal timetable and has closing days, so the group leader confirms the exact visiting time the evening before; the entrance ticket is optional and paid separately.
- Then we transfer to Kežmarok: the UNESCO-listed wooden Evangelical church, the town castle with its inner courtyard, the narrow streets of the craftsmen's quarter and the Basilica of the Holy Cross.
- The group leader will point out where to have lunch in Kežmarok and where to buy Spiš cheeses and mead to take home.
- Lunch and free time, then the group gathers, we cross the border and return to Uzhhorod at around 18:30.

Your place in the group is secured only after the manager confirms it. The prepayment depends on the product and we tell you the amount before we confirm your booking. After that we send you the itinerary, the departure time and the meeting point.
Cancellation by you.
Cancellation:
- more than 2 calendar days before the tour starts - we retain 10 % of the price;
- less than 2 calendar days - 50 %;
- no-show without notice - 100 %.

If we cancel the tour.
We offer another date, another route or an equivalent replacement - or we refund the amount you paid.
Participation terms.
Children under 14 travel only when accompanied by an adult. The number of places is limited by the size of the group.
Changes to the itinerary.
The organiser may make minor changes to the itinerary because of road, weather, technical or other circumstances.
Frequently asked questions
Travelling abroad requires a foreign passport - biometric, or with a valid visa. A domestic passport or a driving licence is not accepted at the border. Children must have their own foreign passports. Queues at the border are possible and travel time depends on them, so the schedule is approximate.
Season: April to October. The departure date is on request: we set it around group formation, which is why specific days are not published on this page. Send an enquiry and the manager will name the nearest possible dates.
The estimated ticket budget is about UAH 1,400 (to be confirmed). Entrance fees, optional extras, lunches and dinners are not included in the tour price and are paid separately on site - this keeps the price fair for those who skip some of the sights.
