One-day excursion to Budapest

A one-day excursion to the capital of Hungary - the city of Budapest, which impresses with its architecture and picturesque panoramas. They say that anyone who has visited Budapest once is sure to return a second time!

The city is especially beautiful during the Christmas and New Year period, so we also offer a very romantic excursion to the Christmas Market in Budapest every Saturday in December.

The city also looks special during the spring and summer season. It is so romantic to stroll along the embankment or along the Danube itself on a sightseeing boat, admire the magnificent panoramas and feel the cool breeze off the water! You will learn how ancient Buda and elegant Pest became a magnificent city of two million.

During the excursion we will visit masterpieces of the world’s architectural heritage: the Royal Palace and the Medieval Quarter, the residence of the kings − Buda Castle, one of the city’s most beautiful churches − the Catholic Matthias Church, the famous Fisherman’s Bastion, which captivates millions of tourists with the incredible panorama of the Danube and the opposite bank that opens from its terrace, the majestic Parliament Building, Heroes’ Square, Andrássy Avenue and the romantic Vajdahunyad Castle.

Shopaholics will have a great chance in their free time to walk along the most famous fashionable Váci Street, where the sheer number of boutique shops of well-known brands makes your head spin!

And if you want to feel the atmosphere of this city even more, we optionally offer a boat excursion on the Danube - an hour-long cruise around evening Budapest with a glass of wine. The bridges and embankments are beautifully illuminated. An unforgettable impression of the brightly lit night-time city. The magnificent panoramic views that open up from Europe’s main river are inscribed by UNESCO into the treasury of humanity’s cultural heritage.

One-day excursion to Budapest, programme:

• 04:30 - The group departs from Uzhhorod, Koriatovych Square, the square in front of the UzhNU Chemistry Faculty.
• 06:15 - Crossing the border. Transfer to Budapest.
• Arrival in Budapest. A sightseeing tour of the main landmarks of the “Pearl of the Danube”.
• Free time.
• 19:00 - The group gathers and departs from Budapest. On the way - a supermarket (about 1 hour).
• 20:00 - Departure for Uzhhorod. In a good mood, we head home!
