A worthwhile addition to the excursion will be a visit to the thermal pools with unique healing water. And all this - against the backdrop of the picturesque mountain panoramas of the Khust region.

* During the daffodil blooming season, the visit to the thermal pools is replaced by an excursion to the Valley of Daffodils, located in the Kiresh tract, on the outskirts of the town of Khust.

* During the daffodil blooming season (approx. 5-20 May), swimming in the thermal springs is replaced by a visit to the Valley of Daffodils. The Valley of Daffodils is located 4 kilometres from the town of Khust, in the Kiresh tract. It is worth coming here at least once in a lifetime to admire the enchanting, delicate white flowers of the narrow-leaved daffodil, brought here by an ancient glacier. We are used to seeing these flowers singly in flower beds, but nature has given us the chance to behold entire blooming daffodil fields. Yet beyond its aesthetic value, the «Valley of Daffodils» reserve is a unique botanical site protecting the largest area in Europe where the relict narrow-leaved daffodil grows.

On the outskirts of the town of Khust we stop at the Krasne Pole memorial complex, raised in honour of the defenders of the independence of the newly created state of Carpathian Ukraine. The events it commemorates are a bright page in the history of our country’s independence.

Between the villages of Iza and Lypcha lies a unique place - a spotted deer farm covering 57 hectares. The spotted deer is one of the most beautiful animals on the planet; in China it is called, with good reason, the ‘flower deer’.

Highland Ranch is an atmospheric spot where nature, quiet and an encounter with Scottish Highland cattle create special impressions amid the picturesque landscapes of the Carpathians.

In Iza the craftsmen have honed their art over centuries and reached great mastery, making their village famous far beyond the region. There is probably no object in the world that the Iza masters could not copy in willow. Right in the village yards there are many little shops selling the work of local craftsmen, so you can take these wonders of folk talent home as a memento of your journey through Transcarpathia.

At the Apartel Rikka Khust complex you will find an open-air pool with mineral water, bathing in tubs of thermal water, a sauna at 80-90°, an experience shower, a salt room and a pump room with three mineral waters (Rika, Shaianska 4, Drahivska). There is a children’s room with an entertainer (children from 3 years old are supervised by the entertainer, those under 3 by an accompanying adult). The price includes the use of a locker for personal belongings and a towel, and a bathrobe can be hired for an extra charge.

On the way back to Uzhhorod we pass through the town of Khust, where you will learn the interesting history of this ancient town, over which the ruins of Khust castle tower - even in ruin they are striking in their grandeur.

In the village of Velyka Kopania, by the Chorho spring, we stop for a rest and taste the spring water. It is considered the purest water in Ukraine and contains a high proportion of silver. The spring has another curious feature: locals connect this very water with the main reason for the mass birth of twins in the village. Thanks to this phenomenon Velyka Kopania entered the Ukrainian Guinness Book of Records. Local belief has it that anyone with trouble conceiving who tastes water from the spring becomes a happy parent.
