Tour programme
- Departure from Uzhhorod at 06:30, the road through Slovakia with technical stops.
- The group reaches Kraków at around 14:00.
- The guided part goes at an unhurried pace: the Main Square and the Cloth Hall, St Mary's Basilica, Grodzka Street, and Wawel Hill with the royal castle and cathedral seen from the outside.
- Then we move into Kazimierz and Podgórze - the districts bound up with the history of Kraków's Jewish community: the synagogues of old Kazimierz, Ghetto Heroes Square with its metal chairs as a memorial, the boundaries of the former ghetto, and Tadeusz Pankiewicz's pharmacy.
- The group leader sets out the chronology so that the following day makes sense in context: who lived in these houses before 1941 and how the road from here led to Auschwitz.
- Check-in at a 3* hotel; both nights are in the same hotel, with no repacking.
- The evening is free: the centre of Kraków is compact, so those who wish go out on their own while the group leader stays reachable.
- That same evening the leader goes through the next day - departure time, the museum's rules and what is better left at the hotel.
- An early departure for Oświęcim, about 70 kilometres from Kraków.
- The visit follows the museum's rules: entry at an assigned slot booked far in advance, the group accompanied by a museum educator, and large bags left in the cloakroom.
- The route covers both parts of the complex - Auschwitz I with its blocks, the exhibitions of personal belongings and the Death Wall, and Auschwitz II-Birkenau with the selection ramp, the ruins of the crematoria and the barracks.
- A code of conduct applies on the site: silence, no food, and no photography in designated rooms.
- The museum visit takes about four hours in total.
- We return to Kraków in the afternoon.
- The evening is deliberately left free - no scheduled sightseeing, at your own pace.
- The group leader is available for questions and further context, and can suggest what to read or watch next.
- Educational groups sometimes use this evening for a discussion of their own - a room at the hotel can be reserved on request in advance.
- Morning check-out, then Wieliczka, 15 kilometres from Kraków.
- The salt mine has been working since the thirteenth century and is on the UNESCO list: the route goes down to about 135 metres, past salt chambers, underground lakes, old timber supports and chapels carved by the miners into the rock.
- The largest of them, St Kinga's Chapel, is made entirely of salt.
- It stays at about fourteen degrees underground all year - a light jacket is needed.
- The entrance ticket is optional and paid separately; admission runs in timed sessions, so the leader arranges the group's slot in advance.
- The group leader explains how the mine operated as a working business until the end of the twentieth century, and why salt workings have survived better than any stone.
- After coming back up, lunch in Wieliczka and departure towards the Slovak border with technical coffee stops.
- The group reaches Uzhhorod in the evening; the exact time depends on the border crossing, so we advise against booking a return train for the same day.
- The transfer to Mukachevo is a separate paid option.

Your place in the group is secured only after the manager confirms it. The prepayment depends on the product and we tell you the amount before we confirm your booking. After that we send you the itinerary, the departure time and the meeting point.

- less than 2 calendar days - 50 %;
- no-show without notice - 100 %.

If we cancel the tour.
We offer another date, another route or an equivalent replacement - or we refund the amount you paid.
Participation terms.
Children under 14 travel only when accompanied by an adult. The number of places is limited by the size of the group.
Changes to the itinerary.
The organiser may make minor changes to the itinerary because of road, weather, technical or other circumstances.
Frequently asked questions
Travelling abroad requires a foreign passport - biometric, or with a valid visa. A domestic passport or a driving licence is not accepted at the border. Children must have their own foreign passports. Queues at the border are possible and travel time depends on them, so the schedule is approximate.
Season: all year round. The departure date is on request: we set it around group formation, which is why specific days are not published on this page. Send an enquiry and the manager will name the nearest possible dates.
The estimated ticket budget is about UAH 3,500 (to be confirmed). Entrance fees, optional extras, lunches and dinners are not included in the tour price and are paid separately on site - this keeps the price fair for those who skip some of the sights.
