Tour programme
- Departure from Uzhhorod at 05:30, pick-up in Mukachevo at 06:15.
- Once past the border we head for northern Hungary and by midday pull into Eger - a town guidebooks call a jewellery box for the sheer density of baroque facades per kilometre of street.
- We climb up to the fortress that withstood the Ottoman siege of 1552 and look out from its ramparts over the tiled roofs and the minaret - the northernmost in Europe.
- Then the old town on foot: the basilica, Dobó Square, streets where the cafes set their tables straight out on the cobblestones.
- The day ends in the Valley of the Beautiful Women: a semicircle of wine cellars cut into the tuff rock, with a tasting of local varieties including «Egri Bikavér», the Bull's Blood (tasting optional, paid separately).
- In the evening we transfer to Hajdúszoboszló - about two hours across the plain - and check into a 3* hotel near the spa entrance, so that no time is lost on travel the next morning.
- The morning starts with breakfast at the hotel, and then it is a whole day at Hungarospa, the largest thermal complex in Europe by water surface area.
- This is not a single pool but a small town of them: medicinal thermal basins fed by mineral water from over a thousand metres down, quiet pools with underwater loungers, separate children's zones with shallow warm water, an indoor section that works whatever the weather, and a waterpark with slides for those who want movement (entry optional, paid separately).
- The thermal water of Hajdúszoboszló is known for its iodine, bromine and salt content - people come here specifically for a course of treatments, so at the spa the pace is set by each guest.
- There are cafes on site, so there is no need to go out for lunch.
- The group leader will advise which basin to start with and how long to stay in the hottest water.
- The group gathers around 15:00 and sets off towards the border with a comfort stop along the way.
- Arrival in Uzhhorod at approximately 19:30, in Mukachevo - as per the driver's schedule.

The excursion runs in any weather. Please arrive at the meeting point 10-15 minutes before departure.
Cancellation by the client

- less than 2 calendar days - 50 %;
- no-show without notice - 100 %.

Frequently asked questions
For a trip abroad you need an international passport - biometric or with a valid visa. A domestic passport or a driving licence will not do for crossing the border. Children must have their own international passport. There may be queues at the border - travel time depends on them, so the timetable is approximate.
Season: year-round, peak X-III. The departure date is on request: we agree it around group enrolment, which is why specific days are not published on the page. Leave an enquiry and a manager will name the nearest possible dates.
The approximate ticket budget is ≈ 2,000 UAH (to be confirmed). Entrance tickets, optional extras, lunches and dinners are not included in the tour price and are paid separately on the spot - that way the price stays fair for those who skip some of the sites.
