The park you will get to know was recreated for the 285th anniversary of the day the estates were handed over to the Schönborn dynasty. For loyal service to the crown of the Austrian Empire, the emperor granted Bishop Lothar Schönborn vast estates in our region, which his family ruled right up until 1944. Today the park is a classic of Austrian park architecture.

The symbolism begins at the very entrance to the park, whose gates are guarded by soldiers of the Austrian Innsbruck infantry regiment and hussars of the Hungarian Debrecen regiment. From the marker S / M (Shenborn Millenium) we are carried into the era of the flourishing Habsburg Austro-Hungarian Empire. Here a cult of Romanticism, aesthetics and symbolism reigns everywhere. Seven lanterns symbolise the seven days of the week. Twelve little bridges dedicated to the signs of the zodiac invite you to have your photo taken by the constellation under which you were born. In the Celtic garden, which represents the Druids’ calendar, you will find your tree, and the little statue of a pensive priest will leave no one indifferent.

In the park there are 22 benches, each with a unique image of a coat of arms. It was 22 state formations that our region was part of throughout its history, and each state - or rather era - has its own bench. You can sit in the Roman Empire, the Kingdom of Hungary, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the Czechoslovak Republic, the Union of Celtic Tribes, the Austrian Empire … Strolling around Lake Tur, your attention will be drawn to a ferry and a charming little island resembling the outline of the Austro-Hungarian Empire at its height, where you will also encounter the ever-present symbolism.

All around, peace and beauty reign. The grotto of St Hubertus, the spring of Princess Sisi (Elisabeth of Bavaria), who gave the world a wonderful love story, the 14 Stations of the Cross, the bridge of the evangelists - this is far from a complete list of the park’s mysteries and landmarks. To the credit of the owners of the “Voievodyno” resort, the park complex is constantly being improved and enriched with new highlights.
