Rainbow trout in Transcarpathia - a very rare and very tasty fish

At the same time, however, Ukraine still raises trout tens of times less than neighbouring Poland or Romania. The fish farms that exist today in Transcarpathia are able to supply more than two million fingerlings a year.
Trout farms of Transcarpathia
Raising trout in Transcarpathia - is something very few can manage. After all, trout - is a capricious fish; it lives only in very clean waters, and in the Carpathians - mostly in mountain rivers. That is exactly why trout is also often called the royal fish. Thanks to it you can tell just how ecologically clean the environment is, as some anglers say.
The main problem of trout farming in Ukraine, according to some farmers, is the lack of professional fish veterinarians and good feeds. And until Ukraine has its own feed base, until then our trout will remain so expensive.
But in natural conditions this fish can live only in the purest and very cold streams. Streams that are saturated with oxygen and no warmer than eighteen degrees. Usually its body is covered with black or red spots. But, generally speaking, its colouring can contain absolutely all the colours of the rainbow, which is where it gets another of its names - rainbow trout. As for its weight, it usually does not exceed the half-kilogram mark. But sometimes, in rather favourable conditions, it can even exceed five kilograms.

Moreover, in the so-called angling art or craft, catching a trout is considered almost the highest skill of all. And if someone once manages it, they can then take pride in it for a very long time. In Ukraine, however, trout fishing is prohibited, even though it has still not found a place in the Red Book.
Nevertheless, some resorts and tourist sanatoriums do organise small ponds for themselves and their guests, in which genuine rainbow trout can be found.
For example, during one of our most romantic excursions - the excursion to Voievodyno, you can try the most varied pursuits of true aristocrats. Such as riding on horseback or in a carriage through the park, but besides this there is also the chance to catch rainbow trout. Interestingly, anyone who wishes can do it. And best of all, afterwards the trout you catch will be cooked for you straight away in a fine local restaurant, and you will be able to enjoy it over lunch or dinner.
A dinner or lunch of this tasty fish will give you the most pleasant memories!
